The curriculum for this program, which is offered on Alliant's Scripps Ranch Campus in San Diego, was developed in close consultation with professionals in the hotel and restaurant industry, those who have an intimate knowledge of what is needed in that field. To gain work experience you will complete 1000 hours of work experience in the hospitality industry. Some students work part-time during the school year, while others work during the summer. International students have the option to apply for a one-year practical experience in the United States after graduation, a valuable opportunity is valuable to gain work experience in the United States before returning to their home country.

The setting is an international and cross-cultural environment where you are exposed to many cultures of the world. ??Students in the management program may become members in Sigma Iota Epsilon, the honorary management fraternity of the Academy of Management which has a local San Diego chapter at Alliant.
Professors combine relevant industry experience with strong academic credentials.Alliant business, management, and organizational studies professors are active in research and consulting in their areas of specialization. Distinguished Professor H. Igor Ansoff, widely known as the “Father of Strategic Management” was one of Alliant professors for eighteen years. Also, Abraham Maslow was a visiting professor at Alliant.

<< View all ProgramsPsychology (Bachelor's) »Choose this programTo complete your bachelor’s degree, come to Alliant where more than one-third of California’s licensed psychologists are trained. The newly-designed degree completion program allows you to specialize in one or more of three concentrations - including Clinical Psychology, Industrial Organizational Psychology, and Marriage and Family Therapy. Each concentration leads to immediate career opportunities as well as to a streamlined transition into a graduate program. The BA completion program also provides opportunities to take graduate-level courses while you are still an undergraduate.
The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is designed to follow the American Psychological Association’s recommended guidelines for psychology majors. After completing a common core, you will select one or two of the concentrations listed below. If you choose to continue on to graduate school, you will already enjoy an important connection with graduate faculty and students in at least one of Alliant’s highly regarded graduate schools at Alliant, including California School of Professional Psychology; Marshall Goldsmith School of Management; or the Graduate School of Education.
A unique component of the program is its three-semester capstone series which will emphasize practical training and provide hands-on experience, something not typical of most undergraduate psychology programs. For more detail, review Coursework for the program.
<< View all Programs Liberal Studies (Bachelor's) »Choose this programThe Liberal Studies major is a two-year degree completion program which prepares students to enter a teacher education program, such as the one offered in the Graduate School of Education at Alliant, which infuses the curriculum with multicultural content, the latest instructional technology, mentoring of diverse student populations, and comprehensive community service. A new program is under development which will focus especially on preparing future middle school teachers of English and math.
In addition, the Liberal Studies major allows students to adapt their education to a variety of paths other than teaching. Students can choose a concentration from any of the majors offered at Alliant, including business, communication, international relations, and psychology. All of these concentrations emphasize a strong professional practice approach which includes substantial practical, hands-on training in the types of internship opportunities more often found in graduate programs.
