The University of Florida's College of Fine Arts was established in 1975, when it was divided from the School of Architecture that was established in 1925. As one of the 16 colleges and more than 150 research centers and institutes at the University of Florida, the College of Fine Arts offers baccalaureate, master’s and Ph.D. degree programs in its three fully accredited schools — the School of Art and Art History, School of Music, School of Theatre and Dance.
The online Master of Arts in Art Education, offered by the School of Art and Art History, develops art educators who are capable of meeting the diverse needs of students, schools, and the global art community. The innovative online curriculum offers a dynamic combination of robust online learning experiences, hands-on studio sessions, and close peer and faculty collaboration. Through the program, students prepare to teach art in K-12 schools and other settings, to enhance their personal art making, and develop innovative teaching methods that can be immediately applied in their classrooms and communities.
