Distance Learning at Grantham University
Grantham University, founded in 1951, is one of the oldest, private, postsecondary, degree-granting distance education universities in the United States. Grantham continues to be a leader in the field of distance education, especially for the military. As the world becomes more technology-driven, working adults who wish to keep pace with new technology require a dependable and flexible way to obtain the specialized knowledge and training needed to compete in today's workforce. Grantham offers this education in a way that is convenient for and accessible to those who cannot pursue higher education in a traditional manner.
Military Friendly
Grantham University has provided educational opportunities to service members and their families since 1951. We believe that every service member, veteran, and member of a military family should have the opportunity to pursue a college degree. As a member of the SOC Consortium, Grantham commits itself to fully support and comply with the SOC Principles and Criteria. Grantham ensures that:
- Service members and their families share in the postsecondary educational opportunities available to other citizens.
- Service members and their families are provided with accredited educational programs, courses and services.
- Flexibility of programs and procedures, particularly in admissions, counseling, credit transfer, course articulations, recognition of nontraditional learning experiences, scheduling, course format and residency requirements are provided to enhance the access of service members and their families to higher education programs.
