The Associate of Applied Science in Business Management and Accounting can help give you a strong background in accounting, marketing, insurance, finance, electronic commerce, and more. This foundation can prepare you for a variety of responsible management positions because of its focus on business and economic concepts and their relationship to our social systems. In this program, you'll also learn about ethical responsibilities, accountability, analytic thinking, and the leadership styles that lead to effective management qualities.
AAS - Business Management & Accounting - Event Planning
The Associate of Applied Science in Business Management and Accounting with Event Planning Emphasis helps prepare students for employment in a variety of settings, including hotels, resorts, cruise lines, convention centers, nonprofit organizations, corporate venues, and municipal agencies. Objectives of the program are as follows: providing the student with an integrated understanding of business and economic concepts and how these concepts relate to business and social systems; the recognition of ethical responsibilities and accountability; the development of planning, decision-making, and other management functions; the capacity to implement and adapt to change; and development of analytic thinking and leadership style. Topics presented focus on working with the client to establish goals and objectives, select the most appropriate site, prepare pre-event publicity and marketing, determine audio-visual requirements, manage food and beverage selections and cost, produce a budget, and negotiate contracts.

The Associate of Applied Science in Business Management and Accounting with Retail Sales Management Emphasis helps prepare students to enter the world of retailing and sales in entry- to midlevel positions as bookkeepers, clerical assistants, and personal property professionals. Topics covered in the retail-sales emphasis courses include the changing nature of the retail environment, successful selling strategies, customer-service competency, and an introduction to the basic human resource functions as they relate to the retail sales professional. AAS - Business Management & Accounting - Property Management
Stevens-Henager College in partnership with National Property Management Association (NPMA) is pleased to offer an Associate of Occupational Studies in Business Management and Accounting (emphasis in property management). Complete your degree while you prepare for NPMA certification. You will earn a degree without putting your life on hold. With online education there are no on-campus classes to attend, it is accelerated and you can take one or two classes at a time. There's a start date every 4 weeks. You learn and gain your degree on your own schedule, at home, at work, while traveling, 24/7.
BS - Accounting
The Bachelor's degree in Accounting is designed to prepare the graduate for entry into positions with public accounting firms and similarly challenging positions with private, government, and nonprofit organizations. The objectives of the major are to provide the graduate with an understanding of business and financial concepts and how they relate to professional accounting — including the principles of federal taxation, auditing, and accounting for small businesses and corporations.
BS - Accounting - Forensic Accounting
The Bachelor`s degree in Accounting with Forensic Accounting emphasis is designed to prepare the graduate for entry into positions with public accounting firms and similarly challenging positions with private, government, and nonprofit organizations, including work with legal counsel and private investigators. The emphasis area allows forensic accountants to integrate the areas or accounting, auditing, and investigation and provide an accounting analysis that can be used for judicial debate and resolution. The objectives of the program are to prepare graduates to conduct an analysis, interpretation and summary of an organization’s present financial situation in an understandable and adequately supported manner.

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Human Resources Emphasis helps prepare graduates to find employment in positions such as human resource generalist, specialist positions in benefits, positions in staffing and recruiting, and human capital development and training. The objectives of the program are to provide a foundation in accounting, sales and marketing, operations management, human resource management and banking and finance and to provide the graduate with an integrated understanding of business and economic concepts and how they relate to the global economy. The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with New Media Marketing Emphasis helps prepare graduates for employment in entry-level to mid-level positions as an office manager, account manager, small business developer, human resource assistant, or sales manager. The objectives of the program is to provide a foundation in accounting, sales and marketing, operations management, human resource management and banking and finance and to provide the graduate with an integrated understanding of business and economic concepts and how they relate to the global economy. The Bachelor`s degree in Business Administration with a Technology emphasis is designed to prepare the graduate to apply technology skills to achieve business goals. The emphasis is placed on preparing graduates to become certified in computer applications, networking, maintenance, and security. BS - Health Information Management
The Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management is designed to prepare students for entry level positions such as inpatient/outpatient coder, health information technologist, coding data coordinator, and clinical information systems technologist. Health Information Management (HIM) is a key function of the healthcare delivery system in the United States. HIM provides for the maintenance of health records in hospitals, clinics, health departments, insurance companies, governmental agencies, and other settings. A Health Information Management professional works with clinical, reference, epidemiological, financial, and demographic data and is responsible for the collection, the storage, the use, and the transmission of this information. The role of the HIM professional is becoming increasingly important as the healthcare industry continues to transition to electronic information management with Electronic Health Records (EHRs).
BS - Web Design & Development
The Bachelor of Science in Web Design and Development program is designed to help students qualify for entry- and mid-level positions in Web design, mobile application design, e-learning, information design, consumer electronics development, and human/computer interaction (HCI) technologies. The objective of the program is to give students the skills needed to produce Web applications, interactive presentations, mobile applications, and user interfaces in a growing diversity of consumer electronics by emphasizing both front and back-end development. Students are required to conceptualize, code, and publish their own standards-based content for a variety of formats while working with the multiple languages used in interactive design.
MS - Information Systems
The Master of Science in Information Systems program is designed to help students gain employment with the office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Information Technology/Information Systems/Information Management Director, systems analyst, systems architect, and strategic technologist. This program addresses the growing need for professionals who need to possess both analytical skills and business acumen with the goal of improving business through information technology and management. Technical expertise alone is not sufficient for success, and students will need to be skilled in the topics of understanding how to organize information, analyze user information, design or evaluate information systems that allow for efficient and effective user interaction, be able to provide and assure the quality and value of information to decision makers, understand the economic and social environment in which their organization functions, be familiar with relevant issues in law, economics, ethics, and management.

The Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics program is designed to prepare graduates for positions such as Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CIO) and IT/ IN Director.
