If the institution became accredited while the student was attending, a minimum of 75% of the coursework taken toward the degree must have been completed while the institution was accredited or during the candidacy period.
2. A minimum equivalent of three years of full-time, post-high school work experience. Students must meet one of the following as part of their work experience:
• 9 months of prior instructional experience in a P-12 setting.
• Evidence that they have a teaching credential or license in P-12 education. (Students must provide a copy of their current certificate/license with their application materials.)
• Currently working as a P-12 teacher (this is intended to allow those teachers in their first year to enter the program.)

Master of Arts in Education/Special Education:

1. An undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited, or candidate for accreditation, college or university, or equivalent undergraduate degree earned at a recognized foreign institution. Master of Science/Administration of Justice and Security Requirements:

If the institution became accredited while the student was attending, a minimum of 75% of the coursework taken toward the degree must have been completed while the institution was accredited or during the candidacy period.

3. A minimum equivalent of three years post high school, full-time professional work experience.

Special Education Certificate Requirements

1. Current U.S. teaching certificate.
2. A nationally or regionally accredited U.S. bachelor's degree.
3. Minimum of 3 years working experience in the education field.

Executive MBA Requirements:

1. All applicants to the Executive MBA program must have a minimum of ten years of full-time professional experience; and the applicant has the potential for senior management responsibility as evidenced by two referrals from senior executives in the organization.
2. All applicants must provide two recommendations verifying the applicant’s future senior management potential within the organization. The recommendations must be completed by a senior executive who oversees the applicant’s department and the other from a senior executive, within the organization, who is familiar with the applicant’s contributions to the organization.
3. Applicant must also submit resume.
4. Applicant must be currently employed by an organization, with at least 1,000 employees, that has a regional, national, or global presence. The organization must be on an approved list maintained by Central Administration.
5. Final approval of the applicant and the organization must be given by the office of the Dean.
6. Applicant must have an undergraduate degree from a regionally or approved nationally accredited, or candidate for accreditation, college or university or equivalent undergraduate degree earned at a recognized foreign institution. If the institution became accredited while the student was attending, a minimum of 75% of the coursework taken toward the degree must have been completed while the institution was accredited or during the candidacy period.
Exception:
• Students who have a three year accredited or equivalent foreign institution undergraduate degree and have successfully completed the thirty credit Foreign Business Completion Sequence (FBCS/US01 or FBCS/CA01), may be admitted to graduate programs if they meet all other admission requirements.
7. Applicant must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on the undergraduate degree posted transcript is required for admission.
Exceptions:
• Students submitting degree posted transcripts from institutions that do not post a cumulative grade point average must have a minimum of 2.5 grade point average for all courses applied to the undergraduate degree.
• Applicants to this graduate program, with a GPA between 2.0 and 2.49 on their undergraduate degree posted transcript, may be granted Provisional status for their first three UOP graduate level courses. At the end of three graded University graduate level courses, a "B" (3.0) average must be achieved or the student will be academically disqualified.
• A GPA of less than 2.0 will be considered for provisional admission if the GPA is more than ten years old.

Bachelor of Science in Education/Elementary Education

1. Reside in the state of Arizona.
2. Have graduated from high school, or earned an equivalent high school diploma at a foreign secondary institution, G.E.D. certificate, or CHSPE (California High School Proficiency Examination) certificate.
