This specialization is designed for criminal justice professionals, including supervisors and managers in policing, courts, corrections, security, and associated support agencies, who aspire to move into upper-level management and administrative assignments. The coursework includes an in-depth review and discussion of contemporary decision-making models and issues confronting the American criminal justice system.
The Mixed-Model option is a more flexible program of study that includes online courses and Walden’s signature Knowledge Area Modules (KAMs). Study independently and work closely with a faculty mentor to apply your research to an area in which you are passionate.

Community Health Promotion and Education
The Health Promotion and Education Specialization serves students interested in providing leadership in health promotion and education in settings such as: communities, schools, work sites, clinics, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations. The specialization prepares students to provide leadership in the planning and administration of health promotion and education programs, and leadership in conducting evaluative research on the effectiveness of those programs. The specialization combines KAM-based learning and electronically delivered, course-based learning in the foundational social and behavioral sciences, and electronically delivered, course-based learning in the advanced specialization courses. Both approaches together provide a comprehensive range of health promotion competencies.
Health Management and Policy
